You Raise Me Up centers on the author’s journey of coping with his wife’s
passing. Anyone who has lost a spouse can use this book as a tool to recover
from loss. In this book, the author feels his late wife’s outstretched-
blanket that helps to cope through, “Grief”, “to Smile”,
“to Laugh”, “to Respect” and most important, “to
Lead”. Those were her “fruits” to live by.

Review

I think that anyone who is in a situation where they are dealing with loss and grief and wondering how to cope will be able to pull some good thoughts and inspiration from this book.
Helpful for Christians looking to understand the why. I think that is the hardest part of grief and loss. Being able to keep your faith while you’re in a place of lost hope.
This is a great book to allow you to read, learn, and cry during a difficult time. As hard as it seems – and as hard as it is to see – we do all move from where we started.

It’s been over a year since Jimena kidnapped Nic and locked him in
his basement. Turns out demons love being adored, even by serial killers.
This long-term toxic relationship that’s become a marriage hinges on
Jimena’s ability to show he is reformed.

What better way to do this than by adopting a feral cat… or seven.
Jimena’s new obsession shows him the dark side of humanity and how
cruel they can be to unwanted pets.

His murderous intent is now misguided and used to avenge the animals that
can’t protect themselves.

It’s an improvement, sort of. Except the demon cop that’s
helping keep Jimena out of jail is bringing up old feelings and Jimena is
considering upgrading in demons. Might upgrade from avenging pets to
avenging people too, because these mass shootings involving children are
getting a bit annoying.

Jimena and Nic continue their toxic love story that may not last much
longer, especially if Jimena locks a demon cop in his basement.

Distant Secrets by Richard L. Cole #promo #autobiography #nonfiction #distantsecrets #rabtbooktours @RABTBookTours

Autobiography

Date Published: February 14, 2023

Publisher: MindStir Media

Do you ever wonder who you really are? Richard Cole was front page news a
few weeks after his birth in 1944, but this was something he never knew. He
did know he was adopted and he did wonder who he really was. But, as a young
adult, he wondered much more about finding success, a simple goal that
seemed so elusive.

He was 19 when he married his high school sweetheart and took off, full
speed, into the adult world. Harsh reality and his failure to focus on
long-term goals made his desire to succeed just an unlikely dream.

He finally took control of his life and made the climb up to a nice
middle-class life. Along with his wife, two really cute kids, and a new
suburban home, they were the picture of a perfect little family. Then the
dream evaporated and Richard’s life began a downward spiral that ended with
him alone and subsisting on food stamps and unemployment checks. But Richard
had met someone on his way down, someone who stuck with him during the bad
times. She gave him a reason to keep trying, and hope that things would get
better.

This lighthearted autobiography takes you along on Richard’s quest to find
success in life and shares his discovery of the distant secrets that
surrounded who he really was.

“Find yourself getting stuck in a zigzag of life’s twists and turns,
unsure of where you’ll land? Richard Cole certainly has and Distant Secrets
maps out his journey through hardships and gains and everything in between.
He opens up to share his intimate world of experiences and the “moments
of stunning mental clarity” that have guided him along the
way.”

-J.J. Hebert, USA Today best-selling author

About the Author

Richard Cole held a wide variety of short-term jobs until his late
thirties. He finally settling down with Motorola as a computer systems
analyst and later a data center manager. During that period, he turned his
wild bird feeding hobby into a little business and went on to opened his
first Bird Watcher Supply Company store in 1988.

Richard’s wife, Nancy, operated the retail store and Richard
continued his corporate job, helped at the store part-time and worked to
perfect his special blends of wild bird feeds. He left the corporate world
in 1990 to open their second retail store.

The Bird Watcher stores grew to five locations and Cole’s Wild Bird
Products was formed to produce and distribute their bird feeds which now
attracts a national following. Richard and Nancy sold their retail stores
when Richard turned seventy. Cole’s Wild Bird Products is still owned
and operated by the Cole family.

• Faint

• Hit him with a large book

• Push him back out the window he climbed in

• Bandage his wounds like a sensible bluestocking-in-the-making

The most perfectly imperfect debutante…

heaven’s sake, she was never even supposed to become a lady! The
former housemaid of a duke, Marigold is thrust into the limelight when her
siblings marry far above their stations. Suddenly faced with the marriage
mart, her escort and chaperone is not only one of ton’s most notorious
scoundrels**,** but the utterly infuriating man still won’t tell her
where he got the knife wound that led him to her bed that night.

…can still tempt the deadliest of rogues…

Lord Leigh Blakeley’s path took a sharp turn from seductive rake to
vengeful assassin long ago. Yet when he finally returns home for a visit, he
nearly ruins his new sister-in-law’s reputation for good by falling
into her bed after a misadventure. Now Leigh finds himself forced to play
chaperone to a debutante… one who unexpectedly enchants his cynical heart.
And when Leigh foolishly proposes to teach the innocent young Miss Spencer
something of the ways of pleasure, he ignites an inferno of passion that
quickly turns unquenchable.

When another man presents Miss Spencer with an irresistible proposition,

The Catcher Dream by Kelly Anne Manuel #blogtour #bookreview #childrensbook #rabtbooktours @RABTBookTours

Children’s Book

Date Published: 07/29/2022

Publisher: Balboa Press, a division of Hay House, Inc.

photo add-to-goodreads-button_zpsc7b3c634.png

“The Catcher Dream” was born as a poem and remains so in this
newly minted Book Five of Kelly Anne Manuel’s Childhood Classics.

In this story the Child is invited on a journey where self-empowerment is
modeled through an interaction between the narrator and a fictionalized
character known as the Catcher Dream.

This is a story where the narrator models strength and courage once an
uncomfortable matter is identified through self-assessment.

“The Catcher Dream” offers a standing invitation to the Child.
The Child will learn that they are individuals in charge of safeguarding
their physical and emotional space. It is an example of how imperative it is
to process the thoughts, feelings, and emotions that uncomfortable matters
provoke.

The simple words take on new meaning as the illustrations pair
perfectly with their presentation. The Child will observe illustrations that
are in alignment with the serious tone of the story. It is important that
the art match the conflict presented and resolved by the narrator.

The narrator shows the Child that once a boundary was encroached upon,
speaking up in a firm manner provided a solution. Children learn how to
handle conflict by observation. It is important for their literature to
address a balanced yet firm approach to conflict resolution.

The author intends this book to be a launch pad for discussions about
personal space, respect, and boundaries. These are all areas that deserve to
be explored frequently as the Child ages. It is in Early Childhood that
futures are being constructed.

“The Catcher Dream” is a tool in a Caregiver’s toolbox to assist
with that healthy formation. The idea that self-empowerment is formed during
these early years is embraced by the author.

The Children who read this book will be rewarded with a valuable lesson
that facing fears results in the positive trait of resilience.

REVIEW

This is not your average children’s book and I mean that in a great way. These stories are real and full of life lessons and real issues for children to understand and learn about through storytelling and characters.
This is a MUST have book for kids. It’s a collection so it’s a lot of bang for your buck.
Classic in  the feel and writing style. You can’t go wrong with this!

that it isn’t her skill set that the agency wants, Instead, accepting her
back was their way of gaining access to a more lethal successor.

Is her gut feeling right? Will the agency soon turn on her? Norma must
escape the clandestine smoky mirrors of Washington DC and see clearly before
it’s too late.

Reviews

“‘The Atropos Maker’ is a fast-paced and expertly plotted
two-fisted political thriller focusing on corrupt international and domestic
organizations, secret weapons, and conspiracies,” wrote IndieReader in
their 4.8-star review.

“Stylishly written,” wrote Joe Kilgore – The US Review of Books.
“This is an engaging read that pushes the envelope of the thriller
genre. Author Lujan has chosen to steep her tale in an intensely
introspective tone. Burrowing deeply within the psyche and soul of her
protagonist, she paints a harrowing picture of how one individual musters up
the fortitude to go from victim to survivor to ruler of her own
fate—but not without the toll the harshest of life’s injuries
often inflict.

“The suspense in the book is irresistible,” wrote Pacific Book
Review in their Starred Review. “The author knows how to entice
readers by introducing subplots which increase one’s focus to finish
the book . . . ‘The Atropos Maker’ is a great read for those who
fancy thrillers, drama, conspiracy stories, military fiction and a great
plot.”

“Since I am an actress, I absolutely love to find books that I can see
visually in my mind… Step on this ride with me… The Atropos team is
exciting and fun and you are sure to enjoy the journey as much as I

Review

Very well written, with character development & excellent conversation between characters.
